Mason County fisherman Don Gray volunteers to weigh and measure fish. A few years ago Don was surprised to see that the TP&W records for the Llano River contained only one record set in the “Junior Angler” category. Don looked into the matter and saw that the nearest weigh station at the time was in Kingsland, an hour drive from Mason. To make it easier on Mason County anglers and visitors, Don purchased a set of approved scales and became certified by TP&W to weigh and measure fish. Don can be contacted at (325) 805-0350.
